Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Rosearch Discord application, also displayed as rbxsociety v2, and the rosearch.xyz website. By using the bot or website, you acknowledge the practices described here.

When a slash command is used, Discord provides the command, its options, the requesting user ID, and relevant server, channel, and interaction identifiers. Rosearch processes this information only to authenticate the interaction, enforce owner-only commands, and return the requested response.

For Roblox lookups, Rosearch processes the Roblox username, URL, or numeric identifier supplied in the command and retrieves related public Roblox information or media.

Rosearch also processes basic Discord server metadata available to installed apps, including server ID, server name, owner ID, shard assignment, and member count. This supports owner-only server management, operational statistics, and aggregate service status.

If Discord approves and the operator enables the Server Members Intent, Rosearch will receive guild member join and leave events. These events will be used only to keep an aggregate combined member count current across servers where the bot is installed.

Rosearch will not request complete member lists, build member profiles, monitor member presence, or persist individual member event records. Only the resulting aggregate count will be exposed through the bot status and public statistics endpoint.

Rosearch does not request the Message Content Intent or Presence Intent. It does not read ordinary conversation content, direct messages between users, passwords, payment information, precise location, or Discord presence activity.

Rosearch has no user database and does not intentionally persist member-level Discord API data off-platform. Interaction and server data is processed in memory for the time needed to provide the feature. Generated files and responses are delivered through Discord and are then governed by Discord's own retention controls.

Aggregate server and member totals may be cached for a short period to provide stable statistics. Service providers may retain limited technical logs, such as startup events and error messages, under their own operational retention settings. Application credentials are stored securely and are not exposed through the website.

Rosearch does not sell personal information. Data is disclosed only as needed to operate the service through Discord, Roblox, and contracted service providers, or when required by law. Public Roblox information returned by commands remains subject to Roblox's terms and privacy practices.

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect the service, including restricted owner commands, protected credentials, minimal Gateway intents, and limited data retention. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Users may stop interacting with Rosearch at any time. A server administrator can remove the bot to stop server-level processing. Requests concerning privacy, access, or deletion can be submitted through the Rosearch support server. Because Rosearch does not maintain user profiles or a user database, there may be no retained user record to retrieve or delete.

Rosearch is intended for people permitted to use Discord under Discord's age requirements. The service is not knowingly directed to children who are not eligible to use Discord.

This policy may be updated when the bot's features or legal obligations change. Material revisions will be reflected by the date above.
